Default Are Floridians moving to the Triad ?

Hello, All, I was wondering, if in your opinions, are lots of Floridians
relocating to the Triad area ? I hate to admit it, but I currently am one
and my husband and I are planning on moving to Greensboro as soon as
our house sells. We lived in the Raleigh area in the 80's, are living in
Florida now, and are planning on moving back to NC as soon as possible.
We hear that so many Floridians are "flocking" to certain areas in NC,
most particularly Asheville, but according to what we have read so far
in this Forum, we're not reading anything about great numbers of
Floridians moving specifically to the Triad area. We appreciate your input. Thank you kindly.

Default I love Greensboro

I grew up in Greensboro and was living there until about a year ago
when I moved to Charlotte. I much prefer Greensboro.
I would not be surprised if Floridians are moving there. A lot of them
have moved to Charlotte.
Greensboro has always had a lot of folks from across the country as
well as an international presence due to the many colleges and corporate
headquarters.
The quality of life in greensboro is excellent.

Thanks much, IggysListing. I would also love to hear from those of you who currently live in Greensboro to ask you if you have experienced first hand "hordes" of Floridians
moving to the area, or not. I've visited some of the other NC and SC Forums and
certain areas seem to be magnets for Floridians to relocate to. It doesn't seem,
at least on the surface, that this is happening to the Triad area, to the extent
that there are Florida auto tags everywhere. Would any of you disagree ?
I appreciate your opinions !

Default NC, Greensboro, etc

NC is the 10th most populous state.
People are moving there from all over.
There has always been a strong NC, FL connection with many
Floridians summering in the NC mountains.
Everyone is not moving to Charlotte, especially with the triad getting
Dell, the Fedex hub and Honda jets.
Look for Florida and other state license plates in profusion.

I have moved a few floridians up to Da Boro. Right now I have a listing of one of them moving back to fla (after a divorce). I don't know about hordes- I know there are hordes of NY Staters moving down here. And I do mean Hordes. Tons.
