Default Opinions regarding Zip 27107???

Is it a good place to start a family? Is it quiet, low crime?

I know there are some threads regarding 27107 but they were years ago so looking for some new thoughts.

Thank You

Are you considering a specific area within the ZIP code? It covers a pretty wide area.
I'm in 27107 - Meadowlands subdivision near Wallburg, which is extremely quiet. But I can't speak for other areas within 27107.

This would be where Eastwood homes are building Glenmore Creek. I don't know how long Willard Rd is but it is off of that. Does that help?
Thank You

I drive to work past the sign for that subdivision, but have never been through there. I imagine it's a decent area, but don't have any first hand knowledge. I'm guessing it's in Forsyth County? I'm in 27107 but in Davidson County - I prefer Davidson for the schools.

Forsyth Schools are just as good if not better than Davidson 9No disrespect to Davidson County) if you get into the right school district. Clemmons (comes with a high price)...but has the best schools in the county. West Forsyth was ranked as one of the Top 200 High Schools in the USA. Good luck. We live in Davie County... but 90% of our neighborhood kids go to West Forsyth in Clemmons. Good Luck!

emelvee, We were really impressed with the actual community but that 109 rd is very close and was definitely not impressed with that area. Any thoughts about 109? Thank You

I drive up 109 every day, to get to I40 to go to work in Winston. It's not exactly upscale, but doesn't seem that bad. The one apartment apartment that's just off 109 and a bit south of I-40 (don't recall the name) looks a bit rundown. Traffic isn't bad...slows a little in the a.m. when school buses are running.

Long-term, a new 109 will be built further west. It is being routed through the western edge of the Meadowlands subdivision, apparently taking out some homes here. It's going to be quite close to our home, but I was aware of this when we bought the house. IIRC funds to start buying land for the road won't be available until 2020 or so, so it's a long way off.
