I am back in Greensboro visiting family and for the 1st time since I moved away 9 years ago, I literally feel like a visitor! The city has changed so much in the last 9 years that what I remember and know is just outdated information.... Anyway, can anyone recommend any good restaurants to check out? I'm particularly interested in Thai/Vietnamese, Indian, Mexican, Sushi and Greek.... I did eat at a new restaurant at the corner of Walker and Elam across from where Wild Magnolia used to be back in the day and it was really good.. Can't remember the name at the moment. Thanks in advance!

Thai is Taste of Thai. COnsidered best place in Greensboro period by some folks.

Supposedly the Indian place next to there is great also.

As for Mexican, unsure, interested to hear opinions. I know there's a decent place near Guilford COllege, though a bit pricey.

Taqueria El Azteca at Quaker Village

El Camino on E. Spring Garden Street

Sushi Republic on Tate Street or Phoenix Asian Cuisine on New Garden are the two best Sushi places in town.

I'll vote for El Camino on Spring Garden. Great Authentic style mexican NOT speedy gonzalez style plates. El Azteca was pretty good. The Al Pastor tacos at Rio Grande (corner of w. market and friendly) are pretty rockin'

The sushi at Sushi Republic was pretty good but I haven't been anywhere else to compare.

Singha 2 on Penny rd and easchester is pretty good thai as well.
