Hi everyone! We are on week 4 of living in W-S!! Hubby's cousin & aunt are driving in from VA tonight to visit with us for a few days. We still aren't too familiar with our surroundings (we can get to Walmart and the Hanes Mall, LOL)
Any suggestions on where we should take them to eat or places to see?? Its a short visit they leave Saturday. But we would like to take them someplace while they are here.

Thank you!

As far as eats, there are lots of great restaurants to consider. Most any of the places on 4th street are worth a visit, including Hutch & Harris Pub (great food!), King's Crab Shack, Mellow Mushroom and Foothills Brewery. Also downtown you'll find Sweet Potatoes (southern fare with just a bit of "upscale" added) and Finnegan's Wake (Irish pub w/very good food), both of which are in the Trade St./6th St. arts district which is a neat area to explore.

You should take them for a stroll through Old Salem for sure, weather permitting. Be sure to stop by Winkler's Bakery for some Moravian cookies, cheese straws, or perhaps a Moravian sugar cake. (Yum!)

There's also the downtown summer music series--Friday nights in Corpening Plaza (in front of the green glass BB&T building) and Saturday nights on Trade Street. Free admission!

Hope this helps.
