I am looking for cheap furniture in either WS or Greensboro. We are renting for 6 months now and need something on a temporary basis (dinning table set, sofa, chairs).

We did check out Transit Damage Furniture, Smart Buy Furniture Discount Center, Direct Furniture Factory but it was on the expensive side for us to use for 6 months. We will hopefully buy from Transit Damage when we move into our own house, but not for 6 mths.

Is there some place that anyone can recommend? Does anyone know anything about Two Guys Furniture or Southeastern Furniture in Greensboro?

My other options are Craigslist or Ikea (but Ikea is in Charlotte and shipping is a killer at Ikea. Driving with all the furniture in a Sedan seems to be a bad idea).

TIA

How about one of the rent-to-own places?

Aarons or Rent-a-center; they specialize in rent-to-own furniture and appliances.

That is such a horrible idea, those places prey on poor/ghetto people. Why would he pay to rent furniture (you end up paying atleast 3x the actual cost of the furniture over time with a place like Aaron's) when he can buy some respectable cheap furniture he can sell at the end?

It was just a suggestion, the OP sounded like they didn't want to commit to buying furniture at this time. I was going on the notion maybe the stuff could be rented and turned back in? IDK
Besides they don't prey on anybody, they don't hold a gun to their head and make people shop there.
