I am thinking of a quick train trip from Raleigh to Greensboro.

Just to surprise my wife - jump on a train for the experience of it for her, grab lunch and hang around for about 4 hours and then return to Raleigh.

What is there to do in the near vicinity?

Where are the best places to go?

Should i get a taxi?

Thanks in advance.

If she lives or works near or in downtown you can walk where ever you need to be, otherwise you will need a cab.

Restaurants, shops, two museums, and a park within walking distance.

Thank you WFW&P.

I think the Blandwood Masion isn't too far from the Amtrak station. You could also walk up to the Civil Rights museum.
