There is more retail and entertainment offerings in Greensboro in general. Both cities are similar in size and if you decide Winston-Salem is not too laid back for you live there. I've lived in both cities and I prefer Greensboro over Winston-Salem. But that's just my opinion.

We've heard this so many times from you. Your opinion is that you like Greensboro better and that is fine, but the false information in your posts is what irritates people online. There isn't "more nightlife", "more retail and entertainment offerings", and there hasn't "been more development in recent years" in GSO than is W-S. This is nonsense, and everytime you post these falsehoods you can expect a challenge.

I haven't read about Gboro getting Coach, or H & M, or Trader Joe's lately. Oh, but wait, the N&R says today they are putting a new Marshalls in a shopping center out near the airport!

What I have read about is a shooting or robbery about every other day in the Gboro for about the last year. Things must be pretty dire up there. Now the city officials are lapping up Obama stimulus money in hopes of creating some jobs.

Considering the crime rates between the two cities are not really that far apart you may ask yourself what is W-S covering up that you're not hearing/reading about.
BTW, you two sound like a couple of juveniles cracking off mama jokes.

Read for yourself, then tell me which cities crime is increasing, and which is decreasing. The proof is for your entertainment.

H&M? How about Brooks Brothers, Apple Store, PF Changs, Ruth's steak house, downtown grocery store ect....

BTW look at the actual statistics and you'll see Winston-Salem has more crime incidents.

Boi, study the numbers on the links above, and you'll see that Greensboro has more crime, and it's on the increase compared to Winston-Salem. Pretty soon it could match the crime here in Charlotte. You're in denial...so quit lying.

Just to reinforce your comment...

2010 actual stats:
Crime Rate (Total Incidents) 15,596 (Gboro) vs. 15,562 (W-S)
Property Crime 13,776 (Gboro) vs. 13,349 (W-S)
Violent Crime 1,512 (Gboro) vs. 1,517 (W-S)

Though they are fairly close, Gboro crime numbers > W-S on all three stats.

2012 projected stats
Crime Rate (Total Incidents) 17,125 (Gboro) vs. 15,741 (W-S)
Property Crime 15,305 (Gboro) vs. 13,528 (W-S)
Violent Crime 2,021 (Gboro) vs. 1,568 (W-S)

In this case, Gboro numbers are starting to look significantly higher than W-S.

Clearly, both areas need improvement but the math is pretty clear.

The city of Winston-Salem website gives different numbers. There are over 30,000 TOTAL incidents in 2012
