The renovation of R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co.'s former Bailey Power Plant in downtown Winston-Salem could make way for more development, such as retail, a movie theater or upscale restaurants. The Piedmont Triad Research Park is leading the renovation and hopes it will be a complement to the center.
