My husband recently accepted a job in Greensboro & I'm transferring with the federal govt. We are moving from south TX. We will be in NC in about 2 months.

How are the schools, the diocese of Charlotte, and what are some great neighborhoods for raising small kids? Any recommendations on Catholic Churches, elementary schools, & family friendly neighborhoods would be great!

What are some fun things to do in Greensboro & surrounding areas? We like to go shopping, running, biking, trying new restaurants & good beers...also anything outdoors!!

We have only lived in south TX & FL so living some place with 4 seasons is very exciting!! Unfortunately, we are only able to make 1 trip to NC before we move so we're having to do all our research online!

Thank y'all so much!!

Greensboro is 11% Catholic, which is higher than I expected for NC. There are two parochial schools with K-8, namely Pius X and Our Lady of Grace. I would look into St Marys Catholic Church as their web site says they are uniquely diverse, both ethnically and culturally, plus they have an attractive small building.
