Northstate exaggerates their coverage area info IMO, but I hate you're stuck with TWC.
Yeah, it was the same deal when I was in VA. I just happened to live on a road where I couldn't get DSL, so I had to stick with Comcast Cable. Of course, I had pretty good service with Comcast, but still, I always like having options, and I hate that I don't have options where I'm at now.
Do you need the 20mbps? If not cell based Internet is an option.
Well I do a lot of streaming video such as Netflix, Vudu, Amazon, Hulu, You Tube, etc... thinking of cutting the cord on DirecTV if I can get a top notch TV antenna to mount on the roof, but I like having, at least in theory, more than enough to stream HD signals to my TV. I realize Netflix isn't HD, but the other streaming services offer HD content, and I want to make sure I have enough speed to stream top notch video quality.

Understood. We have been on that regimen for about 2 years and I don't think cell download speeds can cover what you need.
Yeah, unfortunately that wouldn't work for me. I keep seeing the advertisements for the AT&T U, but of course, I can't get it yet.
Check their website periodically that is about the only way you'll find out when it becomes available in you area. Even though I signed up for email notification I just happened to check their website and found out it had become available in our area; phone & Internet only.
Curious- is there any way to get North State to install fiber to a home, such as calling yourself a business? How much does that cost? Trying to think of various ways to avoid the Comcrap monopoly that's coming.
