I think it was the Holiday Inn Express just off the Cooper River Bridge.

Mt P is lovely but fuller of transplants than here.

I have one question: what nut tore down the Castle?

Too bad the 9-story Southeastern Building renovation isn't near completion because that building sits right at the intersection of Elm and Market. The Southeastern building is being converted to apartments and that would be the perfect location for you being steps away from your job. But for the time being you could sign a short term lease for one of the other downtown apartment complexes until the renovation is complete.

"The top floors of the building will be transformed into 51 urban apartments. The second and third floors will be open for business and office space. The ground floor and basement will host retailers and restaurants"

It was a weekend trip meaning most of our time was spent in Charleston and no time for other exploration. It cracks me up how the CR bridge srews with drivers, even the locals.

Castle?

It USED to be the Cooper River bridge (say "cuppah rivah"), now it's the Ravenel Bridge. If there's a jumper, don't bother to try to go anywhere Even with 8 lanes.

I'm talking about the Boar and Castle. I reckon I am of a certain age.

Sorry, OP, to derail your post.

There are some complexes that you might want to avoid. Message me if you need more information.
