My husband and I, along with our two young children are moving to the GSO area in about a month. We have been looking for houses to rent in the Greensboro area. We drove around yesterday and saw the Reedy Fork area. It looked like a community similar to Adams Farm but does anyone know anything about that area? We are also looking at Adams Farm, any other suggestions? Schools aren't a huge concern as my kids are too young for school but we want a safe area with lots of young families.

The only thing I know about Reedy Fork is the project went bust and at some point the remaining undeveloped land is to be auctioned off.

There are more retail and restaurant options near Adams Farm and its a little more upscale than Reedy Fork. However there is a Lowes and Walmart in the Reedy Fork area and the northern I-840 beltway loop will be constructed nearby. That will help provide quick access to the airport and I-85.

I know someone who lives there and seems to like it (it seems to be a decent, safe area). It does seem somewhat far removed from the rest of Greensboro if you're wanting to be closer to more shopping and amenities compared to Adam's Farm.
