Hi guys, I'm currently a college student in Massachusetts looking to relocate to the South after graduating next year. I honestly just feel like a don't belong here, and feel like I'll love the more relaxed and well-mannered southern lifestyle much more. My question would be, what is the best area of North Carolina to begin looking for jobs when I plan to move? Or is there another southern state that has more business jobs I should look into? Planning on getting a simple apartment outside the city when I do move, I've always loved the countryside.

Are you looking into the Triad specifically or the state in general. Winston Salem is home of the state brand bank BB&T.
Greensboro is NewBridge, Bank of North Carolina is in High Point. Of course there many finance jobs in all cities not related to finance.

Seems like you dont have a specific city, nor company or area. Re visit the topic upon graduation and move to where you get a job, there is no telling how your field will be with avaliability of jobs or where.
Also the closer to Urban areas the less southern culture you may experience as countless of new england transplants have already made the same quest as you over the last two decades.

People usually say that Charlotte is best for finance jobs. But I'm not sure how "southern" you will find it.
