I'm taking my Wife and Daughter to see Les Miserables at SECCA on a Sunday in October (we live in Charlotte). The show doesn't start until 2, so we will need to find someplace for lunch. Any suggestions for a family or unique eatery that is open on Sunday? Thanks!

There are several downtown restaurants that have outdoor seating--should be very nice weather in October. Mellow Mushroom, Hutch & Harris, the Filling Station, Mozelle's, among others. You might also consider Sweet Potatoes, West End Cafe, Foothills Brewery, or Old Salem Tavern (located in Old Salem, with servers in period costumes).

Google any of the above for menus and directions.

Thanks Arbyunc! Any feedback on Finnegan's Wake? I know it's a Pub, but they have a patio, and a brunch menu.

Yeah Mike, I almost mentioned Finnegan's in my earlier post, but I wasn't sure if you'd like a pub atmosphere. It's one of my favorite places--excellent food and a great beer selection, and kid-friendly too. Definitely worth considering.

I would throw a vote in for the Mozelle's/Fourth Street Filling Station area (right across the street from one another). You cannot go wrong with either of these.
