Couldn't find an updated article since this restaurant opened a week ago; here's one from a few months ago: Good Times, Bad Daddy?s plan Winston-Salem restaurant - Charlotte Business Journal.

I love a good burger. We ate at Bad Daddy's yesterday and loved it. It's certainly not cheap: We paid $50 after tax and tip for burgers/fries/drinks for 3 people. I had reviewed the menu in advance, so I knew what to expect. Excellent burger IMO, fries were very good. Their signature sauce was good. I imagine they chose W-S for the Triad since Winston does have either Red Robin or Fuddrucker's. Burgers start at $8.75; specialty burgers run about $10 to $13; all come with one side.

Staff was almost over-the-top attentive: when we arrived at 11:30am on Sunday, there were more employees than customers. I saw at least 4 or 5 employees just standing around with nothing to do. Even when we left about 12:30pm, it wasn't packed - but I don't think they've advertised yet.

How many beers do you get for $35?

It would be less than that assuming no one in the party ordered a speciality burger. Even less when you factor out the tax & tip.

Well, you see the joke is that the food in a burger joint should be a $5 ticket. Any burger joint.
That $5 (x3) makes the rest of the $50 spent available for drinks.

hth

Like they say, it's not funny if it needs to be explained.
