The city of Greensboro is considering changing the name of Lee Street and High Point Rd to a new name...something that reflects Greensboro. Something like Gate City Blvd is being considered. Lee Street begins in the city near I-40 and ends at the Greensboro Coliseum where the name changes to High Point Rd. The Koury Convention Center is on the High Point Rd corridor. The city is currently in the process of enacting a streetscape plan along the corridor.
Come to think of it since the city is targeting that area for sprucing up a name change may be in order.
I wonder if High Point will get mad and change Greensboro Rd?

I wondered the same thing. High Point may try to spite Greensboro since High Point rd changes to Greensboro rd in high point
I wonder if the name changes will they do all of High Point road all the way to Sedgefield after that is Jamestown city limits which has it as Main Street.
There only small section that is Greensboro Road and if High Point changed they could continue the road it currently is of Lexington Avenue.
Outside of their city limits it turns to Old Greensboro Road to Davidson Community College.
