Are there better places to buy guns than the large sporting goods stores?
(i.e. "Dicks and Gander Mt.")

There really are lots of critters in the country.

Default Thanks ... but ... that last part ...

Big thanks WFW&P, but can you say more about, "A quick trip to K-vegas to the Gun Rack"?
Not sure I understand.

Default oh. It's "Kernersville".

((chuckle)) I'm dense.

Sorry... K-Vegas = Kernersville where "Bill's Gun Rack" is located!

I'm pretty sure any gun show will be more knowledgeable (and probably with better prices) than big-box stores like Dick's and Gander Mtn. But I'm not familiar with those in Greensboro. I practice at Pro Shots in Rural Hall and have shopped at Atlas Firearms in Winston-Salem. I'm far (very far) from an expert.

OP, do you have a particular firearm in mind? I purchased my first (and second, and third) firearm just last year, and rented several at Pro Shots before I decided on the first one.

Oh, that reminds me; the Greensboro gun show will this weekend Feb 1-2. I highly recommend going.
Thanks for jolting the memory emelvee.

Thanks Sahmliz.
I bought a couple of guns last week. Happy with the price. Didn't get exactly the shotgun I was looking for but found one that's the same general model at a better price.

I hear that gun shop up in Archdale has some good ammo prices. Might visit it one day.
(.9mm ammo seems to run off the shelves as fast as .22 these days.)

Really good to hear about "Pappaw's Pawn and Gun in High Point.
Sounds like a winner. I'll check it out.
