Just a reminder to make sure you clear your sidewalks and driveways of snow and ice if there is a reasonable chance others will be using them. Some of the regional laws on snowclearing:
Greensboro & Lexington -- the person living in that home is responsible for clearing the city sidewalk within 24 hours.
Winston-Salem & Burlington -- the occupant has two hours after the snow fall stops to clear the sidewalk. If the snow fall stops overnight, it must be cleared by 10 am.
High Point -- the ordinance allows 12 hours for snow or ice removal.
Dang bubba, sometimes it has taken me, with the help of a few neighbors, 3 days to get out of my driveway, and....there are no sidewalks here abouts. I live in Orange County, an educated section of the state. It's really kinda interesting, a group of fairly well educated people working with chain saws and snow shovels.
