Prospect Brands will open a Duck Head flagship store in downtown Greensboro on Nov. 28, or Black Friday. Prospect acquired the 150-year-old apparel brand in 2013 and set up its headquarters in Greensboro. A grand-opening celebration will be held on Dec. 6-7.

The store is located at 816 S. Elm St. in the former North State Milling Co. building. A grand opening will be held at 9 a.m. Dec. 6, according to a news release. The celebration will continue on Dec. 7. Store hours that weekend will be 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The store will also sell Gerbing items, Duck Head's sister brand (also made in the Triad.)

Prospect Brands is headquartered in Greensboro, but its distribution center is in Stoneville.

Probably because they're just rehashing a press release. The N&R's blog posts aren't really "articles."

It is interesting to see Duck Head back. I checked out their website. Home | Duck Head Apparel They're going upscale and all american-made. Their clothes look good. They're going for basic, fitted clothes. There is a market for what they're doing, but we'll see if people will want to drop a hundred bucks for a DH shirt.
