We moved from CA last year and planning to buy a house. I saw some new sub-divisions near South-West schools, High point and North-West Schools, Greensboro.

Which one is best for living?Schools? real estate appreciation rate?

Northwest Guilford and Northern Guilford schools are some of the best schools in the state. If you can afford to find a home in these areas look there first.

I would suggest Greesboro. North West Guilford is a great school. Good neighborhoods to search are The Cardinal.. I would stay in the 27410 area code or 27455 if that helps while searching for homes.

Near NW high School is probably a nice area, but zip codes are large areas and one can't make blanket statements about an entire zip code being nice or not.

I believe the housing you are talking about is new construction by D.R. Horton called Sterlingshire and Sterlingshire East. I believe in terms of new construction it is the only single family housing development I can think of that is under $300,000 in either the Northwest or Northern school districts. You can probably find a home in that neighborhood in the upper $200s.
