Looks exciting to me for being a minor league sport. The games receive national tv exposure as well

Some people are just negative about anything new. Like I said, if it come to G'boro it may bomb, but it may not. Having an affiliation with the Hornets can't hurt. The trick will be getting local corporate support. G'boro is a bit thin in that regard, so the team will have to be marketed aggressively.

Where are they televised? I have maybe seen 1 or 2 games on ESPN ever, and I am an ESPN junky.

It's obviously fine if you think the D League is exciting. I just don't and am not excited for Greensboro possibly getting one.

They're on CBS Sports Network as well. You don't get that kind of coverage of a Greensboro Grasshoppers game

I have never see one on CBS. Minor league baseball doesn't need television coverage - it gets community support. I seriously doubt this endeavor would be profitable at all and hardly anyone will go to the games. I will anxiously await seeing one on CBS though.

I really hate seeing people ready to elevate a D League team over the Grasshoppers. Baseball has been in Greensboro since like 1900. This is just my opinion and no one has to agree with it.

It may fold or it may be successful but there is NOTHING negative about Greensboro getting an NBA D League franchise . It would be a nice addition to the quality of life for Greensboro, good fun affordable family entertainment. But lets not put the cart before the horse. There is no guarantee Greensboro will even get a team. The coliseum has been pretty busy over the past several years and a full schedule may make it impossible to have a team here in Greensboro.

Its CBS Sports Network:

HOME | CBS Sports Network

Channel 315 in G'boro.

Who has "elevated a D League team above the Grasshoppers"? (are you Donald Moore, lol) This isn't a competition between the 'Hoppers and the potential D League team. Different seasons, different times, different sport. Its quite possible they could both thrive, thats all I'm saying.

I certainly wouldn't put much effort into attracting a D League team - it's nothing to write home about and I seriously doubt it affects anyone's quality of life in White Plains NY. LOL! But again, if you find it exciting then that's fine. Enjoy it.
