Clemmons or Lewisville?
What are the differences between Clemmons and Lewisville? Would one area be more desirable for resale value in the future? Both sound like great areas to raise a family. Anyone reading this, who has recently relocated from NJ to this area, I would especially like to hear your input.

i would say clemmons. i just moved back to winston-salem 3 years ago after 10 years in NY. in the 80's both lewisville and clemmons were redneckville. in the 90's lewisville became hip because it had lower taxes than w-s. NOW Clemmons is the "PLACE" to be. it is where all the upper middle class and down right rich move when they want more space and huge houses and lots. many of the hip businesses seem to be following this trend. not sure about the schools though....but winston-salem has some really decent public schools (esp. the new Regan High if you have teens)

Clemmons. Compare the growth of the 2 towns. Clemmons has exploded. Lewisville has had very little growth (business wise). If you move to Lewsiville, you will be spending your time driving to Clemmons or Winston-Salem to do anything and even eat at a decent restaurant.
Lewisville is OK, just nothing there.
Clemmons has VERY good schools (West Forsyth)
Clemmons ALL THE WAY!

Lewisville Library
Lewisville does have a nice brand new library. It is true you would have to drive to stores in Winston or Clemmons, but it's not that far of a drive.

Looking to relocate in the Lexington area... Trying to get some input on the City schools... Elementary and Middle schools...Thinking about the Winston area depends on the schools

Clemmons is busting at the seams with new housing developments but the road system cannot accomodate all the traffic. Lewisville has just the right amount of growth, lots of large homes, brand new library, great town center with outdoor plays and movies and lots of activities. Best of all, Lewisville has access to the BEST elementary schools (Lewisville Elementary and Meadowlark Elementary), and the best high schools (West Forsyth and Reagan).

Distance from Lewisville to Clemmons
Hello all, we currently live in a beautiful rural area of NJ and have to drive about 10-15 minutes to any store. Even though we love our town, we are being forced out of our "death by taxes" state.
We are very interested in moving to the Winston-Salem area, particularly Lewisville-Clemmons, because it's not as overly-populated as the Raleigh and Charlotte areas, and both are family-oriented with great schools (according to the wonderful people who respond to this forum ).
Anyway, if we lived in the more rural Lewisville, what would the driving distance be to Clemmons and/or Winston-Salem, High Point, Greensboro?
(Hoping it would be similar to what we are accustomed to. Thank you.

If you live in Lewisville you will be in the heart of Clemmons within 10 minutes, in W-S within 12 minutes, Greensboro airport within 35 minutes. Everything is accessible with hardly any traffic jam (except for occasional accidents). I live in Lewisville and I am 3 minutes away from a large grocery store, restaurants, post office, library, etc.

Definately Lewisville. You have the convenience of Clemmons (less than five minutes) without the dozens of stoplights, congestion and lack of zoning. Live in Lewisville and go to Clemmons only when you must. Check out the Lewisville schools on the many web sites available, you'll be impressed. Of just drive through both towns and you'll make the decision easily.
