Lidl has selected Alamance County for a regional headquarters and distribution hub as it works toward expansion into the U.S. The German grocer will invest $125 million and create 200 new jobs, 80 new full-time jobs and 120 hourly positions during the next three years.
The discount grocer, which operates nearly 10,000 stores globally, is a direct rival to fast-growing Aldi.
