Winston-Salem ranks as the ninth worst city in the nation to find a job.
While the unemployment rate for people with at least a bachelor’s degree is low, the unemployment rate for people with only a high school degree is 14%. Furthermore, the monthly median starting salary of all workers is $2,097, one of the lowest in the country. A dismal 39.9% of its workforce lives under the poverty line.

And for those with no diploma the unemployment rate is even higher.
Not just in Winston though; right? It's EVERYwhere.

Is anyone suggesting that WS find ways to shift this no/low skill population outside the city limits?
Maybe out of the state as a whole? That would certainly fix the statistics.
We should do something about having SO MANY in these categories.

Sadly tough I suspect that meaningful real solutions is limited to reducing their numbers
not so much with finding some no/low skilled low paying job for them.

What's really hilarious about this is the picture Greensboro's skyline. Way to go, Forbes! That doesn't help to validate this list.

Is this reply in reference to the link in the original post? Downtown WS is pictured. Maybe they corrected it?

I visited the link and saw what you did, Winston's skyline. Perhaps JT has missed a few optometry appointments.
