Default Moving from Massachusetts to Clemmons area....

We are making a move to the Clemmons or Lewisville area from Massachusetts most likely by this summer. I am hoping to hear from other families who have made the same move. Or anyone from the Northeast for that matter. Do you like it? Regrets? Positives? Negatives? Any info you can provide will be appreciated. We are excited at the idea of raising our family in a nice community as well as a location with a better cost of living. Any feedback on the communities and lifestyle would be welcome. Thank you! Helpful hints, tips, etc...all welcome!

feedback anyone???????????????????????????????? I haven't had a good response to this questions but I am reading so many comments on other threads. It seems that majority feels it is a great place to raise a family which is our # 1. But are there other fun things to do in the area?? Restaurants?? Do many people just pop over to Charlotte for dinner? Old Coffee Shops? Theater. I just read that WS can be a deserted place and that is unsettling.

Clemmons is a WONDERFUL place to relocate. Alot of transplants from the NE.

People don't just pop down to Charlotte (that is where I live) for dinner it is 1hr 30 min each way.

Good schools in the Clemmons district.

Lewisville is OK but not very built up. You would be going to Clemmons or Winston-Salem for just about everything...so you might as well live in Clemmons.

Not true about Winston-Salem. It is a GREAT city. Very artsy and has the best mall in the TRIAD. Hanes Mall is quite large and is about 10 min from Clemmons. Tons of restaurants around Hanes Mall Blvd & Stratford Rd near the mall.

GOOD LUCK!

thank you so much. I feel like it will be a great change. I think we just need to trust that it is good place to raise a family as that is of utmost importance. All of the other stuff is just a bonus. Although living out far from everything sounds nice...it isn't for us. Neighborhoods, stores and young families are what we are looking for and it seems like this area is just right. Well........soon we go and good bye snow!

Send a message via AIM to Capstone
My first choice would be Lewisvile because the road system can accomodate the growth the town is experiencing. Traffic in Clemmons can be aggravating at times, I'm sure not as bad as what you are used to. Lewisivlle has access to the best schools, Meadowlark Elem, Meadowlark Middle, and Reagan High plus Lewisville Elem, Southwest Middle, and West Forsyth High. These are the best schools in the Triad area. Go to mycapstoneproperties.com and click on the "NC Schools Report Card" tab. Bring up the school you would like to inquire about the click on the "Student Performance" tab.
