Apartments close to GSO Airport (Greensboro, High Point: work, move, bedroom)

I need to move to Greensboro next month and my work place will be close to airport. I am looking for 2 or 3 bedroom apartments around 1300-1500 sq.ft. and in a safer community. I have 2 kids (4 years and 2 years old) and planning to stay in Greensboro for a year.

I visited Greensboro last week in search of apartments and some of the good apartments are around 1000 sq.ft only.

Autumn park on W.Friendly ave had spacious apartments but I am not sure if those are safer community.

Any help/comments are most welcome!

I lived at the Cardinal Apartments 2-yrs ago. I loved it. Its nice and clean, there is a microwave over the range. I never saw any roaches (ughhh).
I paid $585.00 for a 1-brm with a washer/dryer included. We once saw a hummingbird outside the patio window. I really miss that place. The grocery store is within walking distance and a fire station near by. Its not too far from High Point and Wendover where all the shopping is. The handymen were friendly and personable.
Ask for Tara if she is still there, tell her the Carnevale's say hello.
