Hello everyone,
I was wondering if anybody know how long does it usually takes the HUD office to follow up with you, after submitting the full application for HVP. I received a letter 3 months ago telling me i was selected from the waiting list to submit the full application, and now I'm in the eligibility verification stage. At first i thought this would be a quick process since its only a verification process, but i ended up waiting 3 plus months for it, and when i called them a month ago to check my status ,they told me i still have to wait. Were anybody in this situation before ? And why my eligibility verification is taking them so long?
Thank you in advance!

Because it is a very cumbersome process. There are more people that need the program than there are slots. I hate to bear bad news, but I think you'll have to wait much longer than a few months. Good luck.

Thank you for your response. I was told that i'm on the mainstream list ,not on the regular section 8 list since i'm handicapped and disabled. When i applied for the program it was back on February 2015, and then i received a letter from them on June 2015 asking me to come in for an appointment ,and bring in some documents to submit the full application. If you look at their website for the program procedure (i posted the link below), i think i passed the waiting period and now i'm in the eligibility verification process, which i don't know why its taking them about 3 months so far to verify my status. I do understand that a lot of people are on the list as well, but looking at their program procedure, i'm just wondering why should verifying my condition and income must take a lot of time.
