If you want to try a nice place in Greensboro that is NOT a chain try the Village Tavern on Battleground Ave in NE Greensboro.

I'll vote for any of the Village Taverns (GSO, W-S, Charlotte). I also realized that I forgot to mention Gate City Chophouse.

I second the Bianca's recommendation. Plus, can't forget Yum Yum's, Green Valley Grille, & Stamey's (all in G'boro)
