Default QC & PTA Jobs near W/S?

My wife and I are looking to move to the Winston-Salem area this, or next, year as soon as our current home sells. I just started in QC as a mechanical inspector and would like to know what the job outlook is like in that area. I do have 13 years experience in auto mechanics if I have to revert to that line of work though. Right now, I work for a job shop that machines anything from slot machine handles to machine gun parts, to tiny screws.

My wife is a PTA and will also be looking for work in that field. She has 8 years experience and is very good at it.

Any recommendations on places to look at, or stay away from, for work? The usual online searches have not been very rewarding in this area so far.
