I personally think Winston has better restaurants but thats because I'm a sounthern food lover. I can eat pork chops and meatloaf everyday of the wk. Greensboro does have alot more international restaurants but most seem to be Mexican restaurants and to me a taco is a taco....Also there seems to be a lot of pizza places too. But if ur looking for specialty grocery stores then u will have more options in Greensboro.

Both cities have lots of Mexican options, but G'boro has Ethiopian, Egyptian, Laotian, Jamaican and Korean.

I've heard Stephanie's and Stephanie's II in G'boro are great for southern/soul food.

Biggest thing I hate about Winston is the roads, it seems like they're in pretty poor shape in comparison to roads in the Triangle and Charlotte.

It is because the taxes paid are the lowest in the state so the city does not have as much money to use to fix the roads

Bull. Charlotte, Durham, Raleigh and Wilmington all have lower property tax rates than W-S. And there's nothing wrong with the roads in W-S.

I'd say the roads are good but some of the ramps coming onto I-40 specifically could maybe make a nervous driver uncomfortable.

No problem, thats what I thought. Of course, most of those problems will be resolved by the soon to start reconstruction project of B-40 through downtown.
