I want to rent the house at 2352 Floyd St.

Here's the ad: -2BR /1BA Home with WRAP AROUND PORCH (broken link)

Here's a map: 2352 Floyd St, Greensboro, Guilford, North Carolina 27406, United States - Google Maps

Does anyone know any information about this neighborhood? I'm a musician and cannot afford to have my equipment stolen.

Thanks.

What's wrong with the neighborhood? If we moved there we planned on installing a security system and take extra precautions. Do you think that would be pointless?

I'd pass too. There is a reason the rent was so cheap.

Yeah, that's my whole dilemma. I'm a student who needs a house to play music in but can't afford anything more than $700 a month. It's beginning to get frustrating.

I don't think or didn't hear anything about anyone getting killed in Spring Valley, but it can be an iffy area. Where are you going to school? If you're going to school at UNCG, you couldn't find a rental in Lindley Park or College Hill with comparable rent? Also, I know I may get yelled at on here for mentioning this neighborhood... but Glenwood even?

(I have personal experience in Glenwood... I have family that lives there. I've spent the night there, it isn't dangerous like people say... that's why I'm adamant about its revitalization)

Or if you're a student at A&T, Aycock possibly? That's a pretty awesome area.

I recently purchased a home in Greensboro and so far I like the area BUT I must say...it is frightening to read about all the problems with violence Greensboro has. I have yet to see a police vehicle patrol my neighborhood. It makes you wonder. I find the people to be friendly, caring, helpful and extremely polite but the bad happenings really make a person think twice on staying around! Personally...I love the house and my area and neighbors BUT....I don't feel safe here, not at all!

A lot of these references to violence are blown out of proportion by the media. Greensboro is a growing city, and as it is becoming a bigger city, it can gain issues. I'm not saying that my city is perfect by any means... but you should feel safe in this city.

honestly, Floyd street is ... Feh.

Sketchy is the word I would use.

Can you find anything a few blocks north in Glenwood?
