I'll only add that you won't find true happy hours in NC. It's illegal to offer a discount on alcohol during certain hours. A bar or restsurajt can offer a discount on alcohol for the entire day, but not restricted to certsin hours. Hence, the concept of happy hour isn't really viable.
Some restaurants offer decreased prices on appitizers at tge bar during standard happy hour schedules, but they tend not to have alcohol specials.
Frankly, the atiquanted liquor laws in NC are one of our few major complaints about living here.
A good alternative would be to live in the Concord/Kannapolis area and commute to Lexington. You're in the Charlotte metro with all it has to offer, yet only about 35-40 miles to Lexington.
