Opinion on window repair or replacement (contractors, shop, assess)

Good afternoon,

I had a dual casement window that leaked from the top down during the massive storm we had in Winston the other night. I am not sure if the window needs to be resealed or replaced. The window is probably 30-35 years old. Can anyone recommend a company or two that could provide an estimate? Thanks in advance.

When were your windows last caulked and painted?

Ask google for some names LINK
or stop in at a REAL paint shop and ask for a few

Thanks for your reply, Mr. Rational. I have used Google to find names of businesses who could assess this window; there are a number of individual names and businesses that pop up. Not all are particularly well-rated. I posted thinking that perhaps someone one this board could provide the name of a business or person with whom they had personal experience and could vouch for the integrity of their work. Thanks again.

Gotcha. I just jumped to the end.

There is little reason to think you need more than a quality caulking job
and perhaps some painting to go with it... certainly not before at least trying that.

So... I'm suggesting you get a competent painter on site.
