Default Bad Areas of Greensboro? Family Areas?

Where should I stay away from in looking for a home purchase and rental while we look? I can't seem to find this information anywhere and am getting antsy! can someone help? What areas are just unsafe or becoming more unsafe? I'd really appreciate your help, we have one daughter, age 3, and another baby due in October. I'd really REALLY like to find a neighborhood that is older, has **sidewalks!** and lots of other moms and parents outside. Any advice?? Thanks so much!!! Xoxo

ok almost...the area that i live in...that kangaroo gas station and apartment complex up the street account for most of the violent crime. I'm at the southern end of that quadrant and this place is quiet crime wise.

For a place to rent, I would check out Lindley Park Manor (link below). It's next to a park, very low crime, older neighborhood, sidewalks, rent is affordable and it is convenient to everything. I live in the neighborhood and love it here.

Fidelity Realty, Co.

Thanks for the link, the environment really does look inviting! I think they only have up to 2BR's though, which would 'do' for a couple months but not much longer than that unfortunately.

These are all great links, thank you everyone. Keep the great ideas coming! Thanks!
