We are trying to move in the central Davidson Co. area without any luck. We had settled on North Davidson but when we went to look at homes there were lot of really trashy looking areas right beside nice, newer homes. Did I miss an area I should look in? Schools are important so I am staying away from city schools, been there done that.

Have you checked out Arcadia and Midway areas? You will find in NC that there are always some nice homes/neighborhoods built next to less than desirable areas.

There are nice areas in North Davidson. Where exactly did you look? and what kind of property are you looking for? Unfortunately, without zoning laws you can have a nice home on a large lot and the property next door will be a trashy mobile home or unkempt home.
