I found an updated site plan for the Village at Friendly set to open sometime in 2018. All of the stores besides two I believe are new not just to Greensboro but the triad. I think there are a couple that are also new to North Carolina. IMO this will be a great upscale compliment to Friendly Center and The Shoppes at Friendly based on the quality of stores.

Very nice and upscale! Did some researching, some of those stores are only located in cities like Denver, Dallas, New York, Nashville and Atlanta. And some are currently only in Charlotte and Raleigh in this state. Very nice to see Greensboro get stores of that calibur. Would have included a Trader Joes if the neighborhood had not fought it. Friendly has become not only the upscale shopping and restaurant destination of Greensboro but of the Triad as well. Ruth Chris, PF Chang, Cheesecake Factory and Brooks Brothers already call Friendly Center home. If it weren't for downsizing of major department stores, Im sure Friendly Center would have been on Nordstrom's radar. I do think the name needs to be changed to something just a little more upscale than Friendly Center. Even Friendly Town Centre would do.

would be great if friendly center offered something like a trolly service that u could hop on to get to other areas with out having to drive and park each time as the center is getting spread out and with traffic like it is making it not really walkable. i enjoy the walk most times. But sometimes walking from Kirkland's to Dsw can be a challenge especially with weather.

Yet another project in Greensboro that has been delayed for years! It was supposed to open Spring 2018.

Isn't this the property that Trader Joe's was interested in? Or am I getting it confused with a different spot in that area?

Yes, same location. This is the revised plan that emerged after the TJ's project was voted down.

I was thinking exactly the same thing as well. Friendly is nice but it's to big and spread out to comfortable walk around in with or without shopping bags in tow.
