My son will be getting married next year in W-S and I am looking for a place to hold the Rehearsal Dinner. It will need to accommodate about 60 people. I checked the Graylyn which certainly is nice but very expensive. Open to suggestions from the locals.

Look into Brookstown Inn, Kimpton Cardinal Hotel or Old Salem Visitors Center.

Spring House restaurant downtown. Food is excellent and setting is beautiful in restored 1920's mansion. Afterwards people could walk to downtown bars if they wanted to.

Are you going for fancy? One of the new awesome breweries with some food trucks outside would be neat but a bit more casual and affordable than the above suggestions. If you are looking at graylyn you may want fancy

Default Rehearsal dinner for 60 people

I too am looking for a venue for rehearsal dinner for my son's wedding. We will be around 60 people. I looked at Graylyn and thought it was lovely, but a little too expensive. They are getting married at the Millennium and having their brunch at the Kimpton, so they don't want to use either venue for the rehearsal dinner. I did look into Spring House as well, but they can only accommodate a party of 50. I was wondering where you ended up holding your rehearsal dinner. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated! I am from New Jersey and trying to do this long distance.

You could try McCreary Tower at BB&T Field (Wake Forest football stadium). Kind of a cool venue overlooking the field and it’s very nice. SECCA is an art gallery located near Graylyn and Reynolda House that you can rent and it’s a unique venue with interesting architecture and has a great gallery and beautiful grounds your guests can enjoy.

SECCA is a good choice, if the timing is right with itís programming. There is Hawthorne Inn and the Brookstown Inn close in. There are three/four wineries within 30 minutes of downtown that have facilities. Also the Manor House at Tanglewood , and Win-Moc Barn in Kinderton at Bermuda Run are excellent facilities for wedding events. I donít know about catering.
