Hey ya'll, what do you think are the most family-friendly neighborhoods in Greensboro? I'm pregnant, due in October '08 and have a toddler and really won't know anyone there. I'd like a neighborhood where people kinda get out and hang out on their porches or something. Or where neighborhood kids play together. Can anyone make any recommendations?? Thanks!! Looks like we're going to move in April/May sometime...

It all depends on price, as you know and how old a house you would like. I would check out any neighborhood with an active Neighborhood Association that does things together. I live in Sunset Hills and we just had a neighborhood easter egg hunt and we do cookouts, halloween, caroling at christmas... it's a little norman rockwell but we love it! Lindley Park is nice too and their neighborhood association is really really active!

I too was going to suggest Sunset Hills. If we could afford to live there, we would. Beautiful houses, lovely old trees, etc.

I probably can't afford to live there, but where is it located? My husband is coming up to Greensboro middle of next week, and I'm sending the camera along with him! We are both suckers for old, tall trees...
