You might want to contact the Indian Association of the Triad and see if you can get some information from them:

That's a good suggestion. I don't know of any specific neighborhood, but I know there are Indians here. This grocery store/restaurant has been in the news recently:

Hello,

My name is Dr. Tapas Guchhait. I am from West Bengal, India. I am going to join as a post doctoral fellow in the Dept. of Chemistry and Biochemistry at UNC Greensboro in the middle of December. Therefore, I require an apartment near the university. I can also share the apartment if there is an availability. Kindly let me know.

Welcome, Dr. Guchait,

Have you checked with student housing?

Here are some links that might help:
https://summitattheedge.com
https://www.spartancrossing.com
https://www.uvgreensboro.com

There are apartments for rent privately all around campus. It might be hard to find on of those mid-year.

Will you have a car?

Thanks much.......I have not checked yet student housing. I let you know that, I am single and will not have car. I also do not know anybody at Greensboro. Therefore, I want to prefer to stay with Indian people. If there is any availability to accommodate me, please let me know.

Tapas

I don't think there's an Indian community near UNCG. You'll see a mix, mostly young people. There is an international grocery store out Market Street. There's an Indian market in the shopping center that might be of interest.

indian grocery Greensboro

You'll need Uber to go there or any other grocery store, since none of the big ones are near campus.

I have been living in Greensboro since a year now. My wife and I frequently visit Super Desi Bazaar for our India grocery shopping (https://www.google.co.in/maps/place/Super+DESI+BAZAAR/@36.0511233,-79.9031757,17z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m5!3m4!1s0x88531adf17b7c3df:0x20714 4d12571e445!8m2!3d36.051119!4d-79.900987).

I have noticed that the residential communities around this store have a larger population of Indians residing there.
One such specific apartment community is Crown at James Landing (though technically outside Greensboro), where I know the majority residents are of Indian origin.
