The tornado touched down in Greensboro at Gate City Blvd and Highway 29. Much of the damage was in northeastern Greensboro with destroyed homes and overturned cars. A tree fell on a car killing a person inside at Cone Blvd and Summit Ave.. the storm and tornado traveled pretty much up the hwy 29 corridor and caused damage in Reidsville and Danville, VA

Southeast Greensboro along McConnell road and East Gate City Blvd saw a lot of damage as well. Im guessing we wont know the full extent of the damage until tomorrow. Currently all Guilford County Schools are closed Monday.

There's a shelter set up at Glenwood Center. I'm taking some stuff over there.

I spoke to a woman at the City office. They're still assessing damage. The county will organize volunteers to help with clean up.

No one realized how much damage was done until reports and photos started coming in. This is the worst tornado to hit Greensboro since 1936 when a tornado tore up Gorrell St outside of downtown and southern Greensboro. 13 people died then with 144 juries.

The Tornado literally touched down about a mile from where I live.

Yes I am thanks. If it were about a mile west, my place would not look good.
