I'm really looking forward to more of these types of establishments. My husband and I went to Kersey Valley to throw some axes last month and it was an awesome time. We're planning to go back for the outdoor version of their throwing course soon.

lol I can definitely see where you're coming from on that. I will say, though, that Kersey Valley always seems to go above and beyond with safety (also no alcohol is involved there). There were a lot of rules regarding handling/stepping into the throwing area, an excellent level of gating, and a third party to monitor safety. As someone who also loves ziplines and ropes courses, I could consider it an acceptable level of risk at that particular axe-throwing course. I do have some reservations about the ones I've seen with very little gating in between, though. Alcohol being involved is also questionable.
