Just curious, what will you do for a living in Dobson?

Don't get me wrong, I love how rural the area is - just can't picture where you would work. I'm thinking the closet malls are in Statesville and Winston Salem - about a 45 minute ride either way.

Well, it's a good company, so good luck with your new job. If you like rural peace and quiet with some distant mountain scenary you should enjoy living there. I for one would love to be out in the country like that! However, IF you and your wife think it is too rural you could look to live more toward Winston Salem - a nice old town with everything you need.

My sister and brother-in-law have an Alpaca Farm in Dobson, NC. It's called Alpac-A-Dabra. It's behind Mt. Herman Baptist Church. Dobson area is very peacful. It just make you feel good to be there. I myself live in the Boone area which is absolutely wonderful.
