Hugh Chatman Memorial Hospital (Winston-Salem, Asheville: medical, baptist, teach)

Located in Atkins NC. Is it a good Hospital? Is this the go to hospital for areas outside of WS and Asheville.

As an FYI, its Hugh Chatham Hospital in Elkin, NC. You might get better responses on the western NC Board.

"Areas outside of Winston-Salem and Asheville" covers a lot of territory. For anything remotely serious, Baptist or Mission would probably be the prefered option, depending on location, plus there are hospitals in Boone, Sparta, Jefferson, Lenoir, Linville, Valdese, Hickory, Statesville, Marion, etc., etc., all of which are probably about equal to Chatham.

Elkin is mostly in Surry County which has always been part of the Triad. WNC not the place for Elkin discussion.

Perhaps according to the Census Bureau, but the practical reality is that most people would consider Elkin to be part of western NC.
