Default Good Housing for Grad Student

As much as I hate leaving Durham, I might be heading the UNCG for graduate school. Can anyone give me some advice on good, cheap areas for grad students like me. I saw something about HEAT, maybe some homes near a HEAT line?

Thank you

There are a lot of new apartment buildings being built between Spring Garden and Walker Ave. You could walk or ride your bike. Google map below:

Look for places around UNCG- college hill, college park, Glenwood, lindley park, westerwood, sunset hills or on streets like Spring Garden, Aycock, & Walker. Esp in the News-record.com classifieds or on craigslist. Lots of big apartment buildings going up around the area, if you like that sort of thing. I personally prefer the older places with less people and less boxy.
