Hello everyone, we are moving up to the Greensboro area in the next couple of months and wanted to get some info on area daycares. We have a 12 month old little boy. Which one would you recomend? And how much a week does it cost? Are there long waiting lists? Any info would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I can't believe no one has responded to this yet *sound of crickets*
I sure would like to know the answer to this myself! I just got here 3 weeks ago, I'm studying full-time (online) and my 3year old is bouncing off the walls because she doesn't have any play friends yet. What to do??? |

Our 3 year old son attends Village Kids. He has been there almost 1 year now. We investigated several daycares in the High Point/Greensboro area before committing to Village Kids. It is pricier than some that we looked at, but we are very satisfied. (We pay $165 per week…very much a sticker shock after relocating here from Texas). The teachers and curriculum are wonderful, the surroundings are clean, and the kids seem to have a lot of fun. I am amazed at how much my son has learned since attending the school.
Here is the website, if you need further details: Village Kids Child Development Hope this helps. I guess it also depends on where you live or work in Greensboro as to whether VK is a viable option. Last edited by pdub; 06-09-2008 at 02:59 PM. Reason: formatting |

My friend runs the Sunshine House daycare in Greensboro. I trust her with my children. I would check them out if I needed childcare. Good Luck

Not sure what location you are in but there is a WONDERFUL daycare at Twin Oaks Church on Burlington Road. It is between Greensboro and Burlington but still in Guilford County. I am not sure of the price for an infant, last year when we were there it was $116/week for my 4 year old. I love the teachers, everyone is very friendly in my opinion. I am actually looking to move back there and if I do I will definately move where the boys can go there again.
