Default teaching in Winston-Salem, High Point

I am a certified Language Arts and Social Studies (k-8) teacher from Michigan. I am looking to move to NC in the summer of 09 to try and find a teaching job. Can anyone give me some advice as to the best middle schools for possible employment? How about the area? Is the traffic a headache in the Winston-Salme, High Point area?
