I'd say anything that's south of Vandalia Rd would be fine in that zip code. And yes, Forest Oaks is in that zip. Allen Middle is an okay school, there are better ones, but there are also worse. Also, now that Smith has an IB program and an academy, I think things will be turning back for it. (I'm assuming that Smith is the high school). I grew up in Rolling Roads right near the mall and right near that zip code (we were 27407, but right on the boundary).

Part of the 27406 zip code is Southern Middle (it used to be Allen Middle where we live until they changed it this year or last) and Southern High.

Thanks, ibeg4sushi and mrbsf. I had noticed the size and also thought that the foreclosure might be an issue.
Gosh, I can't wait to finish school (December! Yay!) and start making those concrete plans to get out of here.
Thanks again.

Rolling Roads is right near the mall, just south of it... go to the intersection of Vanstory and Four Seasons Blvd. and head south down Four Seasons. It's that neighborhood down there.
Good, safe neighborhood with decent-sized homes and a nice park that I used to ride my bike on at least once a week. The homes are that of the typical early to mid-1960s design, (ranches, split-levels, etc.)You can also find some good values.
