Hi,
Like so many others on this board, I am not a local but am thinking of relocating, and like me, a lot of posts on this board are from people who won't have the chance to drive around checking out neighborhoods until essentially the last minute, but are trying to do their homework in advance as much as possible.

Apparently, real estate agents are not legally able to advise people as to the safety of neighborhoods (see link: Dissatisfied with my realtor. ). Hence the many posts asking about the safety of this address or that zip code.

I'm just wondering if the mods would be able to set up a sticky that would include a poll for each area or subdivision, in which locals & recent arrivals could vote on a 1-5 scale as to the general safety. Zip code areas seem to be rather large, including both safe and unsafe areas. I know that we can get some results doing a search, although spottily. Also, the Greensboro police's crime maps are helpful but can leave you scratching your head when you see a highest crime rate precinct right across the street from a safest precinct.

How about it? Any mods with time on the hands? Does anyone else feel this would be useful?

thanks in advance for considering this, philso

all members can set up their own polls and a sticky will be determine if it meets the concerns of the entire triad.
Click new thread to create a poll and the options are on the lower part of that page.
This isnt the place to discuss how to work the forum or how the forum works you will need to direct message a moderator Moderators List or post your question in About the Forum
