Since it is headed in that direction, I would change the way we plan for the future. The Triad needs to start building light rail that will connect PTI, Greensboro, Winston and High Point.
Until the light rail is built, lets not just allow developers to build anywhere they wish. Look at Northern Virginia. Its better to plan now for the next 25 years than just let it happen and then decide to do something about growth.
I remember about 15 years ago the local papers toyed with the notion of Greensboro, Winston-Salem and High Point becoming one city. This new city would be called "Greenston-Point". Its hard seeing these three cities merging because each have strong, seperate identities. I dont think it would ever happen myself. The Triad will just end up being a Dallas/Fort Worth or a Minneapolis/St Paul type metro. Greensboro and Winston-Salem are too competitive with each other to merge and it would be a fight trying to determine which city would have the official downtown.

I'd get rid of the street gangs like the Bloods, Crips and all there ilk. Greensboro police estimate there are over 3000 gang members in Greensboro.

Oh, being we have less than 600 cops I think I'd hire some more.

There is a Popeye's at the truck stop at exit #138 (Whitsett) East of Greensboro, almost in Alamance Co. I don't think it has the full menu, and it's pretty dirty in there, but you can get your red beans and rice, I prefer making my own. I prefer Bojangles chicken, but I don't care for their rice at all.

What to change? Well, I grew up in Charlotte and loved going to the Charlotte Pop's concerts in the park in the summer, that would be nice.

Yes, a working mass transit system would be outstanding. I know it's expensive, but it's just going to get more expensive the longer you wait.

Drivers who don't think they are on a race track and will get off my rear bumper in the slow lane.

A progressive church that my whole family can enjoy.

If you are looking for conservatives, just come over to Southern Alamance County, you'll be in Rush Limbaugh heaven.
