My husband and I and 19month old daughter are relocating to the Triad area from Cary due to a job change. We are looking in to living in Whitsett, Graham, Jamestown, Kernersville, and maybe a few other communities in the area. Does anyone have any reccomendations for pediatricians in the area. I LOVE ours now and it is very important to find a great one when we move. Also, vet and OBGYN reccomendations would be great too. Thanks!
you could drive to Greensboro from any of those areas, Wendover Pediatrics,
I went there, my daughter went there, and now my grandchildren go there
Best OBGYN in my opinion...Dr. Stephen Fore, he's a surgeon as well, can take care of everything...in that field ...and does not have to refer you out to specialists, so he knows you well.
We moved to Rockingham County 10 years ago for the schools, but we still go to Greensboro to those doctor's,
not that ones in Rockingham County are not very competent, we use them for our basic health, but for these two areas, like you, I knew I had the best of service, from them, and did not want to change
I am a pediatrician who lives in Kernersville. My house is for sale!! (Wyndfall neighborhood)(relocating to UNC). We LOVE living near both WS and Greensboro, and plan on coming back this way when I finish my stint at UNC.
I have lots of peds and OB friends. Depending on where you live, you should consider these:
PEDs: Burlington area--Burlington Peds (Kent Bonney is my fave). Greensboro--Greensboro Peds, Inc is popular, as is Wendover Peds. Winston--Forsyth Peds (can't go wrong with anyone in the Robinhood or Westgate offices, and if you're in Kernersville, Forsyth Peds K'ville is awesome--Mike Albright is a fabulous pediatrician--that's who my kids see).
OBs: Hands down, the best OBs in the area are at Wake Forest University OB/Gyn. They have a separate office on Olive Street off Stratford so you don't have to do the hospital thing. All of the physicians there are women, and they are fabulous. The office is nice, the staff is nice, the docs are super-competent.
Hope that helps..
We live in Jamestown and use High Point Pediatrics. Our daughter's (age 2) primary physician is Dr. Jedlica and I can't tell you how great she's been. They have weekend hours and an after hours call in service where the doctor on call will call you back. I can't imagine anything I'd like to see improved with this office and the doctors and staff here.
As for a vet, we use Dr. Nabel at James Landing Veterinary: http://www.jameslandingvethospital.com/ Thre are other Dr's there, but we prefer Dr. Nabel and only bring our cats (6 of them) to him. The staff is great and work great with the animals. I've never seen any of our animals handled roughly even when getting shots. I think the animals can tell because they've never so much as hissed at anyone there as far as I can remember.
We live in Jamestown, and my son goes to Cornerstone Dr. James Anderson is the best. He was very patient and did an excellent job in cutting off my son extra fingers. Yeah he had extra fingers but so did I. I had a c-section at the woman hospital and my ob/gyn is at wendover ob/gyn dr. lavoie. She is the best. She took care of me after she gave me the news I had to have a c-section. I was balling in the office and she volunteered to come deliver during her lunch break because I didnt want just the on call physician.
